I was parenting with the tools handed down, by Scottish parents.
I got stuck on a repeat cycle of being "a drill sergeant" to my three beautiful children. Do you know the feeling?
Punishment and praise were my go-to's. Then tried to make up for it and be the "fun mum" or the "gentle parent."
I had to change how I was parenting! As a busy working mum, it wasn't easy, doing it alone. I found some proven, tested ways of parenting based on some solid science, and research.
For over ten years, I've been training others to do the same. Think of me as part of your extended village to help raise your child or grandchild with a better framework of both love and logic.
You can foster more meaningful relationships with your family, that last a lifetime. It's never too late to work on your relationship with your child.

What We Do Together - Live Workshops
Workshop 1 - Power of Pausing
Stop the cycles of ranting, yelling, or kids begging, with a pause.
There is such relief in knowing you can pause those difficult parenting moments. When you know things can get “out of hand” pretty quickly.
A life-saving must-have strategy that you will use time and time again.
Workshop 2 - Raise Responsible Kids is all about how kids learn responsibility for their mistakes, chores, and homework, without us lecturing or saying “I told you so…” So you can focus on being a parent
who creates a safe loving place where kids can make mistakes and learn from them. Children are not afraid or worried they are going to get shamed or lectured every time they stuff up.
Workshop 3 - Setting Limits or Boundaries: we can’t be everything
to everyone! How do you set healthy limits and boundaries so that your child cooperates more and you don’t create a battle? This means you effectively communicate with your kids and don’t run out of energy
and patience.
Workshop 4 - Raising Powerful Kids: You probably know your child
has willpower! It's our role to steward their ability to use it well.
You can have fun with this one and explore how to positively guide children to grow in their decision-making. You will confidently and empathetically know what to do when they make a bad decision.
Workshop 5 - Help Kids Be Capable Problem Solvers
You don’t have to be Wonder Woman or Superman, and rescue your child from every problem. You can teach your child to own and solve their problems, in turn it builds their self-esteem. From the simple ones like forgetting to do homework, to saving money to buy a car.
Workshop 6 - Children Contributing
Children contributing helps them grow into responsible healthy adults.
At home, workplace, on sports teams, and in their social groups.
Learn how you can handle it when kids refuse or forget to do their simple tasks - without bribing, begging or reminding them.
Otherwise, you might be picking up after them until they are an adult.

Busy, of course, you are! You're a parent.
Each session will be a maximum of 60 - 90 minutes, depending on the size of the group.
Groups are no bigger than six couples.
One to one call can be scheduled to suit your day.
There are a TON of parenting books, blogs, podcasts, and social media accounts out there, and you could read or follow one or more of them. Maybe you already have.
Honestly, I tried to make my changes with only a book and a few email prompts. It just didn’t work, because I still applied everything through my old paradigms.
I provide active guidance, support, and wisdom to help you along as you implement the learning. You won't get that from any parenting book or blog.
I have learnt to parent through Love and Logic framework. I am a trained facilitator with Love and Logic.
I have also add into my parenting skills beyond what is taught in that framework, like emotion coaching, family system therapy, raising children with faith as well. If you want to find out more, please reach out and I am happy to provide further information

I really enjoy doing face to face workshops. This would require at least five paid participants doing this at once. There will be an added travel costs to the standard online workshops.

You may or may not know, that I am accustomed to public speaking in small or large settings. Having led lots of kids programs, having toddlers around, will not bother me.
